There was
no one manning the Rosy Rings' booth, but these wide candles,
chock full of botanicals, intrigued me. Candles come in squares, rounds,
and other sizes, both tall and short. Some have two and three wicks. I
liked the Flower Pot candles decorated with buttercup flowers. Scents
include sugar plum, lemonade, chamomile and beach house. Too many
variations to mention. Get the catalog.
Renaissance Fine Chocolates makes chocolates
with a Shakespearian theme, and the taste is fantastic. The Othello bar
($2.85 each), studded with nuts and fruits, is a perfect basket
selection. There are other bars as well as boxed pieces of four, eight
and twelve (from $1.95 to $17.95). The creamy Belgian chocolate, which
slid very easily down my throat, will make the product a hit in your
baskets.
Village
Creek Kitchens makes a line of jams, jellies
and preserves. I got over to the booth about 45 minutes before the show
ended, so I didn't have a chance to sample each flavor. Still, the
hexagon jars in 2 oz. ($1.10 each) and 12 oz. ($2.99 each) sizes are a
good match for most baskets. The extensive list of flavors includes
strawberry, tart apple, jalapeno, key lime pie, pumpkin pie and mayhaw,
a berry that thrives in east Texas.
The same
booth was home to Southern Gold Honey Company which manufactures
honey in a variety of flavors, honey sticks (80 for $10.40), and honey
candles. Jars, flip-top plastic containers, and bottles house the
honeys. I also liked the glass boot ($2.55 each) and tea cup glass
shapes ($2.35 each).
There are
also a line of plush bears eating honey, a cute touch and great visual
to get customers buying. Lots of products to choose from.
